I am the Education Specialist in the kindergarten and 1st/2nd grade classrooms. I am thrilled to be a part of the TLC community and excited to have the opportunity to help build a school where every student is valued for their unique strengths and abilities. I have two teaching credentials from California State University Northridge, one in English Language Arts and another in Special Education. I went to work for CHIME Elementary in Woodland Hills, and then to WISH Charter School in West Los Angeles. When I’m not reading with students, playing with play-doh, or singing and dancing about phonics, I enjoy sailing and visiting daughters who are away in college.
I am the Special Education Teacher for TK and the 3rd and 4th grade combo class. I graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Social Work and received my teaching credential from Cal State University Fullerton. This is my first year teaching and I am excited to be here at TLC!
I live in Garden Grove with my husband Tyler and our two amazing daughters. Sidney is 20-years-old and she attends OCC and works at Disneyland. Samantha is 12-years-old and a 7th grader who enjoys cheerleading and crafting. We share our home with our 7 fantastic pets. I enjoy working in my garden, going to the beach, and watching Dodgers baseball! I have taught kindergarten for 5 years, sixth grade for 1 year, and worked as an instructional assistant for special education for 3 years. I look forward to having a positive and productive school year in TK at TLC!
I am the Kindergarten teacher at TLC. This will be my 16th year teaching and I’m excited to make this my best year yet! I attended UC Irvine where I majored in Political Science and minored in Education. I also received my Credential and Master’s in Education from UCI. Go Anteaters!!! I live in Anaheim Hills with my husband, who is also a teacher, two daughters, and my awesome Maltese; Roxy. I enjoy reading, watching movies and being with friends and family. Something interesting about me is that I love collecting movies and I own over 1,030!
I was born, raised, and currently live in Orange. I earned my general education teaching credential from Hope International University in 2018. I have a bachelors in Fine Art from Laguna College of Art and Design. I look forward to using my creative side in the 1st/2nd grade classroom and with the rest of the TLC community. I will also be celebrating my marriage to the coolest man ever at the end of this year. If I’m not at school, I’m either sailing around the coast, camping on the beach, or napping on my couch with my cute dog, Guy.
I was born and raised here in Orange. I am the oldest of 5 children (3 younger brothers and 1 younger sister). After graduating from UCI in 2005, I moved to L.A. where I pursued my first Masters in Education and my teaching credential from UCLA (this is where I ended up meeting my husband). In 2011, I pursued my second Masters in Education and my administrative credential. I moved back home to Orange with my family after 12 years in L.A.. Our family consists of our 4 children and our dog, Kona. I am a huge advocate for legitimate full inclusion and this is why I chose to work at TLC as the 3rd/4th grade teacher. I believe in this school; I believe in our students; I believe in the absolute power and beauty of full inclusion.
I’m one of TLC’s music instructors, co-teaching along Miss Justine’s side. I work at Danman’s Music School in Dana Point where I teach private lessons to all ages. I primarily teach ukulele, guitar, piano and voice. I love working with children and helping them play songs they enjoy, as well as guiding them to the point that they feel equipped to make their own music! I’m currently working toward my Music Ed degree at Saddleback College.
I grew up in San Clemente playing music at school, taking piano lessons, and started performing in bands at age 11. I graduated from OCSA’s commercial music program in 2013 and have continued to study at Saddleback. I’ve been teaching private lessons at Danman’s Music School for 6 years and am super excited about this year teaching music to all grades at TLC with Miss Grace!
TLC will open the 2020-2021 school year through a distance learning format. We look forward to "seeing" all students and families... please contact the Main Office if you need technology assistance or help getting connected. We are here for you!
